Studies:
Born in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 1972 in the south of the Netherlands. Employed at TNO since 1997 working on polymer nanocomposite applications
He is a program leader in the innovative materials group, working with industrial partners/costumers on (polymer) nanocomposites. The last 5 years the research has been directed to self-organization of nano-particles to alter surface properties of materials that are in contact fluids. These self-organizing nanoparticles change the surface energy and morphology and can reduce (bio)fouling.
